A WTF pwnmobile that takes 70m skillpoints is not specializing. If you can fly all 4 races I would call that GENERALIZING.
If you wan't something to train for learn to fly all the cap shis. It should keep you occupied for a couple of years --Bird of Prey: Forum God

The faction ships that already exist will stay as they are but new ships for each faction will be introduced and be flyable if you train the skills. The progression would be just like racial ships frigate -> cruiser -> BS with the same tier structure (Frig II for tier 1, Frig III for tier 2 and destroyers, Cruiser I for tier 1 cruisers ect.) but also require the two racial ship skills It would be something like this: To Fly a tier 1 Guristas frigate requires Gurista Frigate at level II. In order to train Gurista Frigate you must first train Gallente and Caldari Frigates to IV.
For A tier 1 Cruiser you Need Gurista Cruisr at level one and to train that skill Gurista Frigate, Caldari Cruiser and Gallente Cruiser all need to be at IV.
A Tier 1 BS will require Gurista BS at I and to train you will Need Gurista Cruiser, Caldari BS and Gallente BS at IV. Also introduce T2 Faction ships Whcich would require the appropriate faction ship skill at V .
The Skills required for each ship will progress exactly as the racial ships do only with added prereqs. This will add more time on for you to train up to BS 4 more times to fly everything as well as giving a wider ship selection.
A note on cost: These faction ships will have BPOs available like racial ships so will be mass produceable but will require more materials and take longer so they will still cost more, they will also be more powerful. For T2 Faction BPC production they should also introcduce faction Encryption methods which will require two racial encryption methods at IV
An additional note on the existing faction ships: They will become to Faction ships what navy issue ships are to racial ships. IE the Rattlesnake will be the CNR to the Tier 1 Gurista BS. Those ships might need a buff though however the fact they get bonuses from two racial ship skills as opposed to one for racial (and my proposed new faction) ships might still give them an edge. --Bird of Prey: Forum God
